President Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to the merciless killing of over
40 students and a teacher at Government Secondary School in Mamudo
village, Yobe State.
Speaking Sunday through his Special Advisor on Media and Publicity Dr.
Reuben Abati, the President described the killing as barbaric, horrific
and wicked.
The president stated categorically that his administration would not be
undermined by any group or persons. He said the emotional dysfunctional
who attack innocent children will certainly burn in hell. Sympathizing
with the grieving families, Jonathan said his administration will deal
with and end terror in Nigeria. The attackers stormed the boarding
school Saturday at around 3am and set the hostels ablaze as the students
slept.
The students who managed to escape from the flames are said to have been
shot by the attackers. Some students who sustained serious injuries are
in various hospitals across the state receiving treatment.
